Common Ground Exhibition

 Our Space Brisbane is thrilled to announce an artist call out for an upcoming exhibition to support emerging and established artists, and celebrate Our Space turning 4. The exhibition 'Common Ground' will be held over three days Friday 28th August - Sunday 30th August, with an opening night celebration on Friday 28th August.

There will be a $1500 First Place Prize and $500 Emerging Artist Prize up for grabs on the opening night; all exhibited work will be considered.

This is a fantastic opportunity to share your artwork with the community in a relaxed and engaging setting. We invite submissions from Artists working in Ceramics, 3D and 2D mediums. Please note that there is no formalised restriction on dimensions, however; this will be considered at the studio's discretion. We encourage artists to submit work that reflects the theme 'Common Ground'; Common Ground is an exploration of the spaces, rituals, and relationships that cultivate a sense of belonging. Through sculpture, painting, and object-making, the artists consider community not simply as an abstract idea, but as something slowly built through shared experience, care, repetition, and joy. Community is shaped by local identity and the spaces in which we gather and connect. In a world that can at times feel increasingly divisive, creativity offers a shared humility and a way to find common ground.
